The Home From Home Guesthouse in Longtown is in the naturally breathtaking Northern border regions of Cumbria and is the ideal base for exploring the historic city of Carlisle, The Scottish Borders, Gretna Green, Hadrian’s Wall and numerous towns, villages and attractions in the area.

Our accommodation offers a warm welcome, excellent facilities including single, twin and family (triple) rooms, all of which are en-suite. Tea and coffee making facilities, alarm clock, TV, hairdryer and shaver point are also in all rooms. Also available is a ground floor twin (en-suite) room. Washing and drying facilities are available, if needed. Hearty breakfast, and home cooked evening meals are available on request. We are open all year and have internet access for anyone who wishes to keep in touch whilst away from home or office. Private rear yard parking for cars and motorbikes and lock-ups for cycles. We provide all the comforts of a home from home whilst Longtown and the surrounding area provide an abundance of holiday pleasures; including flying, karting, pony trekking, cycling, fishing, shooting, walking, golf and so much more.

Longtown is situated on the English/Scottish border and is just three miles from the infamous Gretna Green and six from the bustling city of Carlisle. Longtown’s turbulent history is evident in both legend and historic sites that are just waiting to be explored. Today, Longtown is primarily a friendly farming town and gifts the visitor with beautiful natural scenery and is a tranquil haven in which to unwind and relax. For tourists looking into border history, there is a great deal to be found around Longtown. It lies at the heart of the "Debatable Lands" and is close to the location of the Battle of the Solway Moss.
